Looks like good ol’ Jack and Meg have finally made an official statement saying that the White Stripes are no more:
“The White Stripes do not belong to Meg and Jack anymore. The White Stripes belong to you now and you can do with it whatever you want.”
While bummed a little, I do look forward to seeing what the future holds for Mr. Jack White and Ms. Meg.
I am not sure where you are from, but I hale from Ohio and the weather SUCKS here today!!!! Seriously, it is raining ice. It looks like someone kicked over a gigantic Slushie machine and all the ice covered the area. The roads are horrible, I am stuck inside and am getting restless.
So what do I do? I sit at my computer and look for distractions. I go through countless emails about nothing special and suddenly I saw this – a message from Those Darlins:

I stopped everything I was doing and checked out the song.
Suddenly I am forgetting about how craptastic it is outside and I am not worried about how long it will take me to get to work in the morning (who am I kidding, yes I am). I love their new sound and have the feeling that this is the release that will skyrocket this kick-ass foursome into the spotlight they oh so deserve.

Screws Get Loose drops on 03/29/2011
Solo musician, songwriter, and frontman Evan Thomas Weiss has got himself a sweet little project called Into It. Over It (IIOI). He came through town a couple weeks back and I missed it. Bummed would be an acceptable word I am looking for.
I would sit here and introduce Weiss, but he does it best:
I used to play in a couple bands called The Progress and Up Up Down Down Left Right Left Right B A Start, but that isn’t too important. I’m 25 years old. I live in Chicago. I’m 6’2″. I’m a Libra. I have a beard. My shoes are a size 9. I’m always busy. I’m always broke. I’m (almost) always happy. I write songs. Let’s kick it.
I have to disagree with Weiss about Up Up Down Down not being important. I loved than band.
